Explore Art — FAQ

1. What is Explore Art?

Explore Art is a volunteer-based art curriculum that is funded by the PTSA.

2. How does it work?

In the classroom, parent volunteers teach age-appropriate, grade-level art lessons.

3. What are the parent volunteer responsibilities?
  • Lead / Co-Lead Volunteers are responsible for planning projects, gathering supplies before the lessons, and conducting the lessons in the classroom.
  • Helper Volunteers are responsible for assisting the lead/co-leads in the classroom during the art lessons.
4. How many art lessons are required?

Parent volunteers are required to conduct at least one art lesson during the school year for the Art Walk on March 5th and will be responsible for displaying the projects.

Additional art lessons can be conducted monthly, every other month or at a schedule that works best for both the teacher and volunteers.
