Welcome from the PTSA!

If you are returning to Smith this year, we welcome you back; hopefully you already know all of the important work the PTSA does for our school and you’ll renew your membership this year. If you are new to Smith, then welcome to our school family; we are certain you will agree that Smith provides excellent education opportunities for our children. We encourage you to get involved with the PTSA by learning more about it (starting below), joining (online), leveraging our communication resources (listed below) and by volunteering in any way you’re able (there are lots of ways to volunteer, even from home). Our goal is for each family to volunteer at least once this year.

What is PTSA? The PTSA is an organization designed to complement and enhance our children's excellent school experience by providing additional services, enrichment programs and family events. We do this by organizing volunteers, fundraising, supporting programs at school and in the classroom and working with the teachers and staff to identify needs. At a regional and national level, we also advocate for students in the legislative arena.

This year we are hopeful that school will look a lot more normal with parent volunteers returning to the classroom.
